How it began

We are the fruit of family knowledge

Our story begins in 1965, with a 12 kg electric roaster and the intuition of founder Carlo Schillig, carried forward with the contribution and passion of his father Karl and brother Peter Schillig.

Caffè Carlito stems from the care we put into the whole process, from gradually bringing the beans to an optimal temperature in the roasting process for the aroma to develop, and observing an ideal post-roasting resting time for the full flavour to emerge.

Today

Tradition and innovation

Today, two generations later, with Daniele Schillig at the helm, we are a solid reality. We have expanded, our roasting machines are many more, but our processing does not change, far from massive production processes at high temperatures that affect quality.

We have a clear vision of the future: our know-how, matured over 60 years, and craftsmanship remain the cornerstones of who we are. In every Carlito Coffee bean there is the perfect balance between tradition and innovation, a balance we wish to carry into the future.

Mission

We want to create and disseminate exceptional coffee, a tribute to tradition, the result of careful craftsmanship in which time is synonymous with care.
Not only coffee, but also a wide range of services to meet all the needs of the industry.

In pursuit of this goal, we are committed to ensuring maximum transparency along the entire supply chain, so that our customers can know and appreciate the origin and quality of every single bean, and we undertake numerous community-oriented initiatives, supporting projects that reflect our values of respect and care for the land and the environment.

Vision

We are a family business, artisans in workmanship. Confident in the future and with a clear vision. We aspire for sustainable growth together with our partners, without ever losing the essence of who we are. In every Carlito Coffee bean, there is the perfect balance between tradition and innovation, a balance we wish to carry with us on our journey of growth.

Our Vision is to create a positive impact, as much on people as on the territory in which we operate, from plantation to roastery, and to support the community around us. We desire a future where our growth strengthens our connection to our community and respect for the environment.

At Caffè Carlito, we care not only about observing ethical principles, but also about the quality and safety of our products. We are committed to protecting our environment and to protecting our valued employees. This commitment is supported by our certifications.
